Placentas

For all your placenta needs

The placenta is an essential part of your pregnancy, supporting the life and growth of your unborn baby in the womb. However, the benefits do not have to be restricted to just the pregnancy as it can provide us new mums with rich nutritional and hormonal balance and benefits if consumed postnatally.

Placenta encapsulation is a convenient and modern way to enable this. Here at Herts & Essex Placentas we are able to offer a placenta encapsulation service as well as a selection of other placenta preparations to help with your recovery postpartum and beyond.

I am a trained Placental Remedies Specialist with Independent Placenta Encapsulation Network (IPEN). I hold relevant certificates in Food Safety, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Infection Control.

Only one placenta will be encapsulated at a time so there is no risk of cross contamination

Encapsulation Services

Steam Dried Placenta Encapsulation

£215

In the Steam Dried method of placenta encapsulation, the placenta is steamed with chilli, lemon and ginger as they are warming and aid the healing properties of the placenta throughout the body. The placenta is then dehydrated, ground and then put into capsules. The number of capsules depends on each placenta but is usually between 90-180 capsules.

Simple Dried Placenta Encapsulation

£215

In the simple dried method of placenta encapsulation the placenta is simply dehydrated with no additional ingredients. It is thought that this method preserves more of the essence of the placenta as some believe the steaming process destroys some of the vital nutrients.

50/50 Steam & Simple Method Placenta Encapsulation

£240

50% Steam Dried Method

50% Simple Dried Method

You will receive 2 separate jars, one of each preparation to use at different times during your postpartum recovery.

Supplementary Services
Great additions to complement your placenta encapsulation

Placenta Tincture

£70

The tincture is a potent remedy made from a small piece of your placenta which is steeped in alcohol. It can be very helpful in balancing hormones and aiding emotional healing. It can be very effective for periods of stress, premenstrual tension and during the menopause. The tincture takes 6 weeks to prepare but can last indefinitely.

Placenta Oil

£50

The placenta is rich in hormones such as Oestrogen which builds collagen in the skin and Progesterone which inhibits the breakdown of collagen which normally leads to wrinkles as we age. The placenta oil is made from your own placenta mixed with apricot kernel oil and can be added to your own creams, balms or oils to make your very own homemade skincare product.

Raw Placenta Smoothie

£50

The smoothie is made from a small piece of fresh placenta (the rest can be made into capsules or other remedies), fresh berries, banana, apple and water. It is delicious and you can't taste the placenta. Raw placenta is known for its high content of stem cells and growth factors to aid healing and recovery after the birth, reduce blood loss, aid breast milk production and balance hormones to prevent "baby blues".

Placenta Essence

£50

The placenta essence is ideal for use during times of transition, stress, emotional instability, illness and hormonal imbalance. It is made from a small piece of placenta which is steeped in distilled water in the sunlight then strained and added to high quality vodka.

A cord keepsake is included for free with every order of placenta capsules, however please state if this is not required.
